The Red Skelton Show, with the Burgundy Street Singers’ performance of “Rainmaker”


This song was inspired by reading about the terrible killing of elephants in Africa. The recording was blessed when the background singers filed into the studio wearing white suits and offered an African blessing at the song's end. They told me the phrase “Ah Oom Bah”, which I spontaneously added to the chorus, meant “God be with you.”
